Great news. Museum of Ice Cream LA is staying open until October, and tickets go on sale Thursday 6/22 at 9am. MOIC Tickets
I was so excited when I heard that MOIC was coming to LA. I learned about MOIC too late when they first opened in New York, so I was very diligent in signing up for newsletters and following their social media in hopes that they would travel to LA. Purchasing tickets is simple. Log on to their website, click on their ticket link and it will take you into a virtual waiting room. Once you are in, pick your date & time. There is an option for MOIC to text you your tickets or you can have them emailed to you so you can print them. To protect their guests and the MOIC experience, they require that one person in the group show their ID when presenting your tickets at the MOIC. Tickets are $29 for adults and $18 for children 3-12 and seniors. Valet parking is available for $6 in front of the building, but I parked one block away for free.
The building is hard to miss. It’s pink! There’s a cute little side yard with games and benches next door for waiting. You line up in the bright alley way while they check your tickets. It’s almost a Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory experience.
Each room has it’s unique character. Treats are available in almost every room. The only rule with treats is you have to finish them before you enter into the next room.
As you can see… there are ample opportunities to take photos. It’s best to travel in groups, but there were so many great people we met because we were helping each other take photos. It’s so much better to get photos with all your friends.
A fun thing we weren’t expecting was the Hotpoint Lightbox Videos that were sprinkled through the museum experience. At first glance, it looks like a simple photobooth, but you can take silly videos that are emailed to you. See my Instagram account for some pretty great sillyness.
My MOIC experience was up there on my “best day ever” list. The art installations were fun and made so many people happy. I can’t think of a better way to spend a few hours with friends or family.
Good luck to those purchasing tickets Thursday! I hope you have the best time at MOIC!
